Ad Astra Foundation
Thank you for your interest in the Ad Astra Foundation. In many parts of the world children walk several hours to access educational opportunities such as formal schooling, libraries, etc. We hope to ease the burden of such children through scholarships, book donations, and the creation of libraries and community learning centers. Please consider donating to our foundation or volunteering with us as a first step in our ongoing efforts to reduce educational inequalities and inequities. Our work is informed by social justice motivations and a desire to work in partnership with rural communities and local governments. We believe that formal education is a fundamental human right and that working with children and youth through our interventions would help ease social suffering and strategically position beneficiaries to be agents of change and community improvement.
What We Offer
Here are some of our activities
Nwodua library project
We are raising funds to construct a 200 person capacity library in Nwodua to promote learning. This long term project is informed by a philosophy of a preferential option for the poor and will offer children in one of the most deprived districts of Ghana access to information technology, books and a space for intellectual advancement. Please check out architectural designs for the proposed learning center.
